Facts/History abouth Salten Market.
This year Salten Market has been hold for 205. time.
From 1803 until 1853 the marked has been
hold two times a year.
After this there only been hold market one time a year.
In the first many - many year, the market been hold close to "Salten Kro".
Later the marked get replaced to a grass field abouth 500 meter north
Salten City.
From 1978 the market has been hold on a
bigger grass field,
in the south end of Salten City.

Wednesday evening.
Put up different tents in our garden.

Thursday.
Prepare the tables, light, Etc.
(Partytelt 10 x 5 meter)

Friday evening.
Only our closely relatives come home for dinner.
Later in the evening we walk down to the big
tent on the market place. Drinking beer and have a dance.
(Only abouth 300 meter from our house).
The rest of our guest arrived saturday.
Inevitable we meet lots of friends and Neighbors.
Music: "Mercury Band " and "Midt Om Nattet".

Mille and I have just become as "proud - great-grandparents" to a little girl.
Mille - great-grandmother - stay home and baby
sitting this evening.
(She enjoy it).

Since we live right next to the Market-Place,
it has been a tradition for Years that,
Families, Friends and Neighbors come and stay at our House and Garden during
this week-end.
(This year we - "only" - have 50 guests).

Afternoon-coffee.

Our son-in-law are "Grill- master".
Our garden was - one - big campground.
+ one camper trailer + one small RV. parked in our neighbours drive-way.
As a game we knock 7 inch nail in a big beech trunk.
Fun and laughter - lots of competition.
Our neighbours bake delicious Flutes.

Mealtime. "Roasted Pig"
Dessert: different kind of iscreme and fruitcake.
Later manny of our guest visit the big marked tent.
Drinking beer, dancing and have fun.

Breakfast - Lunch - Relaxation - Afternoon-coffee.
Visit on the market place. Buy some "junk-stuff", and have fun.
(The children was most interested in the fun fair)
