Facts/History abouth Salten Market.
This year Salten Market has been hold for 206. time.
From 1803 until 1853 the marked has been
hold two times a year.
After this there only been hold market one time a year.
In the first many - many year, the market been hold close to "Salten Kro".
Later the marked get replaced to a grass field abouth 500 meter north
Salten City.
From 1978 the market has been hold on a
bigger grass field,
in the south end of Salten City.

Since we live right next to the Market-Place,
it has been a tradition for Years that,
Families, Friends and Neighbors come and stay at our House and Garden during
this week-end.
(Mostly around fifty - sixty people ).

WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY:
Setting up tents and preparing for party guests in our
garden.
(Partytent 10 x 5 meter)

FRIDAY:
The closest family comes home.
The menu this evening is always "French Hotdogs."
Later we walk down into the large market tent, get a beer and a dance.
When we get home again, Mille serve midnight snack.
(The rest of our guests comes first Saturday afternoon).

SATURDAY:
We always grill a Pig on an open Fireplace
and it`s served right from the Spear
together with many different kind of Salads, --- and of course lots of Beer, Wine and Pops..
After dinner, we all go Dancing in the big Market-Tent.
Around midnight it`s back to our House/Garden for midnight snack/beer and snaps.
There are many Tents in our Garden so all the Guest can have a place to sleep.
( No one drives Car that Night ).

Our son-in-law are "Grill- Master".

Afternoon-coffee.

Pig on the fork.

As a game we knock 7 inch nail in a big beech trunk.
Fun and laughter - lots of competition.

Saturday/Sunday - Midnight snack in our garden.

SUNDAY:
Everyone have Breakfast in the Garden, and after that a visit to the Market-Place.
At the Market there are all kinds of rare Stuff to buy, or just looking around is cozy.
Furthermore there is a huge Fairground with
a big "Tivoli" which the Kids just love.

Afterwards we all join in at Milles famous Lunch in our Garden,
And later a nice cup of Coffee or Tea.

afternoon.
